Welcome to the University of Warwick's Literary Enthusiasts

As our Society Constitution states, we are here
“[t]o promote the enjoyment and appreciation of literature in the university community regardless of degree course”

Litsoc is a vibrant, welcoming, and wonderful community full of the loveliest people.
We run all sorts of events throughout the year, so there really is something for everyone! We have a bookclub, which anyone is welcome to attend at anytime, that discusses all things from films to songs to novels to poetry. We also run social events such as bar crawls and the traditional Warwick circles. We have welfare events which act as a place for people to de-stress or share what may be concerning them. We run such a variety of events, head over to our Instagram to find out all the latest on which events are coming up!!
As an academic society we are affiliated with the English and Comparative Literary Studies Department. We also offer Academic Aid for all students, especially those studying English Literature, and act as a helping hand from the first days at university through to dissertation hand in day! Our Freshers Guide and Academic Advice Document are available through the contact and links page. This outlines aspects of the course you might not know about yet and provides lots of helpful tips for life at Warwick more generally.

If you need help or have any questions at all, our exec would be more than happy to help. Our Families Scheme also provides a great support network and people to turn to if you need any questions answering or advice giving; it also provides a wonderful opportunity to meet people both inside and outside your year group.
